Google crawled the website... but still didn't index most of its pages. 🤯
This week, I was auditing a website and honestly, I expected to find a technical SEO issue.
But that wasn't the real problem.
Google could already:
âś… Find the pages
âś… Crawl the pages
âś… Read the sitemap
âś… Access the content
There were no manual actions.
There were no security issues.
So why weren't the pages getting indexed?
Because SEO isn't just about helping Google find your website.
It's also about giving Google a reason to trust your pages.
That changed the way I think about SEO audits.
Now, I don't just ask:
"Can Google crawl this page?"
I also ask:
"Does this page deserve to be indexed?"
Sometimes, the biggest SEO problem isn't technical at all.
It's the value your website gives compared to everything else already online.
Technical SEO gets Google to your website.
Trust is what helps your pages stay in Google's index.
