Most of the eCommerce Business Owner or an agency owner offering marketing services to clients make a big mistake and always focus on ROAS. They think the more ROAS means better sales and results.
Let me tell you a secret of eCommerce of DTC clients. If you focus on ROAS, you’ll never scale or make it profitable. What you really need to do.
- Analyze the complete customer journey.
- Focus on increasing AOV (Average Order Value) instead or ROAS.
- Find the revenue you can generate over the complete customer cycle.
- Use email marketing to improve results and convert abandoned Checkouts / Carts into sales.
- Offer quality products Only. (Don’t go with cheap products it will ruin the customer lifetime cycle.
- If someone do a purchase today, don’t target him/her again for 2 months.
- ROAS only show the cost you are paying for getting client for the first time. Keep that customer to purchase again is up to you and your quality.
IF you still don’t understand than ELO is the best example for you. Their business model is purely based on customer lifetime cycle instead of ROAS. They are paying from their pocket so that someone can purchase their product for the first time (they take loss on it). But than they focus on keeping that customer to purchase again and again after some time.
This is what you need to focus on.

What makes a video ad good?
1. It should Follow the AIDA formula
watch the ad objectively and ask yourself
Is it grabbing the attention
Is it interesting to watch
Is it making you feel something(desire)?
Does it have a strong emotional CTA?
2. Use simple words. Please.
Use short, concise, and powerful sentence
3. Focus on one marketing angle in a single video ad
It’ll be short
But will be more effective
4. Strong Visuals
- Use bright, bold colors
they make people stop and look
5. Space
Don’t overcrowd your design with unnecessary elements.

How to create a super-profitable FB Campaign?
The leverage you can pull to create a super-profitable campaign are

The first 3 things are very easy to do versus coming up with the idea let alone executing it as envisioned.
Most of my clients, Test a bunch of random ad creatives hoping one will work but more often they have terrible click-through rates, and poor ROAS.
It happens when you try to convince everybody. Narrow the audience down.
Here are some of my hacks you can try in random order
- Don’t make your ad like an ad. People are wired to skip the ad.
- Increase the contrast of your ad by 20-30%. Vibrant colors stop the scroll and it also helps who has their brightness to low.
- Don’t pack your ad with heavy information.
- Avoid long captions. Keep it simple. Short. Easy on the eyes.
- Show 2-6 words sentences at a time.
- Copywriting is so underrated when it comes to video ads but it’s so crucial to use powerful and triggering words in your ads.
- Match the temperature of your ad with the temperature of the audience. Cold, Warm, and Hot. think about what they want to see to make a purchase
