CSS is getting a new border-shape property 📦

No images. No SVG. No clip-path.

With border-shape, you can create organic shapes directly in CSS — from blob-style containers to cut-out borders and smooth custom outlines.

Example:
box {
border-shape: shape(...);
background: red;
}

This can open up a lot of creative possibilities for cards, buttons, hero sections, and modern UI layouts.

Browser support is still limited, but the future of CSS design looks exciting 🚀

The challenge isn't AI itself; it's the reluctance to adapt while the world evolves around us.

You're not competing against AI; you're competing against individuals who are learning, adapting, and growing at a rapid pace.

The future isn't a battle against developers; it's a challenge for those who choose not to evolve.

This isn't to say that you need to rely entirely on AI for website development. Focus on mastering the fundamentals. Leverage AI to enhance your capabilities.

By doing so, even if AI were to disappear in the future, your skills will ensure your survival.

Good design is invisible. Bad design is distracting.

If users notice your colors, animations, or layout before they receive your message, something is wrong. Design should make your message effortless, guiding attention rather than competing with it.

Clutter confuses. Overloaded pages overwhelm. Too many elements fight for focus. Every part of your website should serve a purpose, answering questions like: “Where do I go next?” and “What should I do here?”

Good design reduces friction. It allows your message to shine and helps users decide faster. Bad design stops them, wasting attention and killing conversions.

Your job isn’t to impress with style; it’s to communicate clearly. Make every element earn its place.

P.S. If visitors notice your design before your message, your design is failing.

Quick reality check for business owners:

53% of visitors leave if a website takes more than 3 seconds to load.

No complaint. No feedback. No second chance. They just… disappear.

Most founders focus on design updates. Some focus on SEO. But very few look at what happens in the first 3 seconds.

Before visitors read your offer or understand your value, they judge your speed. Slow speed quietly signals:

- “This might not be professional.”

- “This might waste my time.”

- “Let me try another option.”

And just like that, potential revenue walks away.

Cons evolve as people do. Design should evolve with them.

Yet many designers still rely on outdated symbols that users no longer connect with. This has been evident in real projects, where some icons felt obsolete the moment they appeared.

We took a closer look at how icons have changed and rethought our approach to designing them. Here’s what we found:

→ Phone

Old: Handset

New: Smartphone

→ Mail

Old: @ symbol

New: Envelope

→ Send

Old: Arrow

New: Paper plane

→ Save

Old: Floppy disk

New: Bookmark

→ Wishlist

Old: Star

New: Heart

→ Add

Old: Person +

New: Simple plus

Icons have shifted from literal objects to simple, universal shapes.

Less detail.

More clarity.

More meaning.

Good UI reflects how people think today, not how they used to. Design isn’t about chasing trends; it’s about recognizing change and designing for it.

Everything you can do today may feel small. It might not look impressive or earn instant applause. However, when you stack those “small” days together, you’ll eventually look back and realize that you didn’t build success overnight; you built it brick by brick.

Consistency builds castles, not motivation, talent, or luck. It’s about showing up again and again.

Focus on today’s work. Future you will thank you.

Stop marrying the wireframe before you meet the user.

This analogy resonates deeply.

On the left: The UI (User Interface). It represents the visual aesthetic, glowing, futuristic, and impressive on a pitch deck.

On the right: The UX (User Experience). It embodies the feeling of utility, ease, and comfort, allowing users to navigate seamlessly.

A common mistake teams make is investing 90% of their energy into the left panel (how it looks) and only 10% into the right panel (how it feels).

Even the shiniest UI can lead to user abandonment if it causes "software saddle sore.
