Ever wonder why we call computer glitches "bugs"? It turns out, the first computer bug was a very real, very uninvited guest! 🪲💻
Back in 1947, legendary computer scientist Grace Hopper was working on the Harvard Mark II computer when the system started acting up. When her team opened up the machine to see what was causing the error, they found a literal moth trapped in one of the relays!
They carefully taped the moth into their logbook with the caption: "First actual case of bug being found." And just like that, the term "debugging" was born!
