I do not rely on AI tools.

But I use them to work faster.

Yesterday I was working on a food brand's Facebook post.
Needed burger and BBQ images for the design.

Tried the paid AI version first. Too slow.
Switched to Google AI Studio. Free version
Not perfect, but it delivered.

And the paid version?
After all that waiting, the result was not worth it.

That reminded me of something important.
The tool does not matter as much as the skill behind it.

Use AI as a tool.
Not as a replacement for your skills.

Last night I got an urgent client project.

No time to think deeply.
No time to explore ideas fully.

But I delivered three concepts anyway.

This is the reality of urgent projects
You work with whatever time you have.

Being professional does not mean perfect conditions.
It means delivering even when conditions are not perfect.

Designers charge too much. 🙄

That is the myth.

Here is the reality.
You see the final logo. ✅

You never see the 10 rejected concepts. ❌
You never see the research. ❌
You never see the time and energy. ❌
You never see the feeling of am I not good enough. ❌

You don't negotiate with a doctor.
Then why do we do it to designers? 💡

A good logo looks simple.

But the strategy behind it is not.

Most people think a clean logo takes 5 or 10 minutes.

Nobody sees the thinking process.
The research. The multiple concepts that were rejected before arriving at the final one.

That is why it looks simple.

Simple is not easy. Simple is the result of a lot of hard work that nobody sees.

I went to buy baby shampoo and could not tell which brand was which.

Same bottle. Same color. Same design.

That moment reminded me of the biggest branding mistake I see every day.

When you copy another brand, you do not become their competition.

You become background noise.

I am excited to share this design.

I used a modular grid system for this one.

I know on social media, you have to focus on one skill.
And mine is brand identity design.
But I love learning new things too.

So when I heard about modular grids, I wanted to try it on a real client project.

This week I got that opportunity.
And the result surprised me.

The grid did not just structure my design.
It made it look:

→ Professional.
→ Consistent.
→ Balanced.
→ Connected.
→ Nothing out of place.

I am still learning this. So I want to hear from you.
