E-commerce is something everyone wants to learn, but where to start? This question is as common as new freelancers asking how to get their first client. So let’s hear a simple answer today.
First, understand that e-commerce isn’t magic that’ll make you a millionaire overnight. It’s a complete business, and without learning business basics, you’ll only face losses. So first, pick a platform, but just one. Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Walmart, or TikTok Shop—all are good, but you can only handle one at a time. Focus on one platform and look at the others later.
Learn from free resources, but do it seriously. YouTube, Facebook groups, blogs—you can learn from all of them. But just watching screenshots won’t help. The real benefit comes when you take action yourself. Start small, but do start. You don’t need a lot of money. Begin with models like FBM, dropshipping, or wholesale. Keep learning and improving step by step.
Now, the main point: why pay for a mentor? This is where most people get stuck. They say, “If someone’s teaching, why not for free?” We’ve taught for free too, but people don’t value it, and it’s not necessary to learn from us. Learn from whoever you think is good and actually working in the market—not just selling courses—but do learn.
Think about it: if YouTube videos and your cousin’s advice were enough, why do thousands fail in the market every day? A mentor is someone who doesn’t take you in circles, but shows you the straight path, saves you from mistakes they’ve made, and their time, effort, and experience aren’t free. A mentor’s fee isn’t an expense—it’s a shortcut to success.
You can spend thousands on mobiles, shoes, and fast food, but if someone offers to teach you, why does it hurt? In the end, I’ll just say: if you really want to succeed, invest your time and a little money in learning. Knowledge is the most valuable thing, and in today’s world, the greatest power. E-commerce can give you freedom, but only if you’re ready to learn.
I’ve said this from the heart, so listen with your heart. If you feel you can do something big, don’t waste time chasing free stuff. Just start—whether it’s Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, or Shopify. The field is open for you.
