Ghanaian-British engineer Danny Manu founded Mymanu in 2014 and created the CLIK earbuds, widely recognized as the world's first truly wireless earphones with live voice translation supporting over 40 languages.
The earbuds pair with a smartphone through the MyJuno app and automatically detect the spoken language, delivering real-time translation without needing any internet connection. An Oxford Brookes University graduate, Manu built this technology using proprietary offline algorithms that process speech instantly.
The CLIK earbuds are already reaching users across Europe, North America, and Asia, with growing interest from international investors.
🎧 This technology holds enormous potential for travelers, humanitarian workers, and businesses operating in remote regions where internet access is limited or absent. Imagine a doctor treating a patient who speaks a completely different language, and these earbuds bridging that gap in real time. Manu once said this device was created so people could connect regardless of where they are. African innovation is not just participating in the future. It is building it.
