Words — Your Brand's Most Dangerous Weapon
A shopkeeper once said,
"I always speak politely, still customers leave."
I asked, “Politely… but how?”
Because in business, words don’t just communicate — they connect or cut relationships.
The Science of Speech
Kind words (like thank you, we care) release dopamine + oxytocin
→ Trust, warmth, engagement
Harsh or dull words (issue, policy, can’t help) spike cortisol
→ Tension, defence, disinterest
So yes, your captions and replies don’t just inform —
they chemically alter your customer’s brain.
Two Messages, Two Outcomes
1. “Your complaint is received. We’re looking into it.”
2. “We’re sorry this happened. We’re on it — because your trust matters.”
Same action.
Same intent.
Different impact.
Words Create or Kill Transactions
Harvard says:
95% of buying decisions are emotional.
Your pricing may sell once.
But your words sell repeatedly — or silently destroy your brand’s memory.
So…
Choose words the way you choose designs.
They are not fillers —
They are foundations.
