A yellow stoop chillin chicken in folk art style.

Recently on nextdoor someone’s two chickens were found chillin on a fence in a condo subdivision. I love chickens for so many reasons. They are social and kind but also fierce and protective when they need to be.

Hummingbird in folk art style.

The bird that is always a delight to see in a garden. It always feels a little magical when you get to catch a glimpse of one. Especially if they decide to sit and hover for a moment.

Stork in folk art style.

In the summer while visiting Lithuania, I watched storks follow a plow and pointed out numerous nest to my children and even luckily watched one fly. Lithuania makes special towers for storks near power lines and they give them space to migrate, and maybe they bring a baby or two with them 😉 . March 25 is stork day to celebrate the migration back from wintering in Africa.

Drawing of a blackbird in a folk art style. I’ve always been drawn to crows and birds in general. It connects to my love for gardening because they are there looking over your shoulder.

My grandfather taught me how to sow seeds and grow a garden, ever since I’ve had a sort of green thumb. The last few years a garden seems like a chore but that’s probably because I didn’t sow my own seeds as much. I collected some seeds in the fall to resow this year.

I haven’t caught up to the social media trends but still like to do a quick reminder that I’m still here. Working my ass...

I haven’t caught up to the social media trends but still like to do a quick reminder that I’m still here. Working my ass off in real life and doing a bunch of projects that matter to me and for the community. I am so excited for some upcoming projects and updating my website. I also just got my new photos from so I just had to use one in a post. This is the third set she has done for me and I couldn’t love them more.

Creative spark. Creativity is so fleeting sometimes. I’ve really struggled this year losing a few of my favorite partners that left their positions for clients I work with. A person who understands you and your process are invaluable. I often flip flop between the word friend and client, they are so important to my creative process. I haven’t connected and introduced myself in a while and don’t put a whole lot into my account. I’m on a binge right now. I’ve taken a bit of a hiatus because Social Media can be a source of anxiety for me.

I am a grown ass woman who runs a graphic design business and is feeling stretched and tired but finding my balance again. I listen to 90s hip hop, grunge and punk music and love going to random concerts for bands I wouldn’t normally see. I secretly listen to Taylor Swift too. I love gardening and growing flowers. I drink whiskey and kick ass.
