. When working with complex illustrations, often you'll need to select certain objects at the same time, on different occasions. On Illustrator versions CS5 an higher you can SAVE a selection for later use, saving you time.

Steps:
1. Choose the objects you need to select.
2. Go to "Select" on the main upper menu.
3. Click on "Save selection"
4. Name your selection for later use.

PS.
Even if you delete certain objects, change their appearance, or put them in different layers, the selection will keep on working with those objects that are left on the art.
