Back in 2016, after the completion of my NYSC, and the never-ending job search, I got an offer as a Janitor in one of the popular restaurants in Lagos Island

but after a few months into the job, I resigned my appointment

That was because the company started with me with a salary of N25,000 as a trainee

And promised an increment once I become a full staff, 6 months after my probation period

As agreed my salary was increased to N60,000 and I was unhappy, I could remember

muttering and saying to myself in the middle of the night in my bed “How On Earth Are You

Going to Live The Lifestyle You Desire With Just N60,000” most especially in Lagos where

everything is expensive. So! I made up my mind to call it a quit and that was exactly what I did a

month after. The first thing I did after my resignation was to write out the list of what I would need to live a fulfilled life in Lagos. I got this idea of breaking down your target income like this

So, I wrote down the following based on daily projected expenses.

With that, I would know how much I needed to make per month.

The list went like this:

✅2 bedroom flat in Lekki - (N600,000/year or N1,645 daily)
✅Toyota Camry 2006 – N1.8million or N4,930 daily
✅Food and Domestics – N3,000 daily
✅Wardrobe – N45k/month or N1500 daily
✅Internet connection – N15k/month or N500 daily
✅Fuel (petrol and gas) – N1000 daily
✅DSTV – N15k/month or N500 daily
✅ Savings - N3,000 daily
--------------------------------
TOTAL - N16,075 daily
---------------------------------

That meant I needed an income flow of approximately N500,000 a month

I had already saved N100,000 from my old job.

And I have been trying some online businesses.

Eventually, I set up a new online business that gave me an income of N300,000 at the start.

After 2 months of starting the online business, I put in more effort into it and moved my monthly

income to N500,000 a month.

The interesting part is that it only took me N40,000 and 3 weeks to start this new business from

my Uncle's house on the Lagos mainland.

This new business was successful because I followed a simple and proven business blueprint

when they buy, you get paid a hefty commission

In this post, I share how to grow your business and impact lives through affiliate marketing.

Over the last year, I have had contact with several great coaches, consultants, and experts because I was introduced to them via email.

My life has been transformed and my business has grown by virtue of those associations/relationships.

I have experienced so much joy and blessing by being connected to the right people at the right time. For that reason, I sincerely believe it would be a disservice not to share this message of mine.

Most of the people I have come to know, love, and respect are those who were introduced to me through their affiliates. Their affiliates promoted webinars, training, books, etc and I signed up to know more.

For example, I have gotten to know great coaches like Lisa Sasevich, Christian Mickelson, and Toyin Omotoso because an affiliate promoted them to me via email.

Most times, the process goes thus:

A. A business owner/coach/merchant has a free gift (freebie) or leads magnet or product or service to sell

B. He engages the use of affiliates or joint venture partners to promote his products or services to a wider audience in order to get his desired conversions

C. The affiliates or joint venture partners promote those products and help the business owner to achieve his goals

D. New sets of people get to know, obtain and use the products/solutions promoted by the affiliates/joint venture partners

E. Everyone (in most cases) gets rewarded: The merchant, affiliate, and customer all get some form of satisfaction from the process.

This system is called affiliate marketing in which a merchant pays a commission to an affiliate whenever a customer buys/signs up for the merchant’s products or services through the affiliate’s promotional efforts.

The affiliate is the person who promotes the merchant’s products and services and usually does so at his own expense.

The merchant may provide resources like swipe files, graphics, etc for the promotion but the affiliate usually does not get paid until he has brought in a sale or met the merchant’s requirements for conversion.

In a joint venture, the companies or organizations involved agree to work together to promote each other and utilize their resources to achieve common objectives.

For example, two internet marketers can enter into a contract to promote each other’s products, newsletters, etc so they can have an increased audience reach, product sales, etc.

Human beings are biologically programmed with the following eight
desires:

But in how many of your ads do you openly use an appeal to one or
more of the LF8? I bet few, if any. Why am I such a doubting Thomas?
Simply because it’s unlikely that anyone ever taught you to do so.

Listen: When you create an advertising appeal based on any of the LF8,
you tap into the power of Mother Nature herself.
You tap into the very essence of what makes humans tick.
You see, you can’t escape your desires for the LN8.
You were born with them, and they’ll be with you until the day you die.

For example:
✸ Can you shake your desire to eat? (LF8 #3)
✸ Can you suppress your will to survive? (LF8 #1)
✸ How easily can you quash your desire for physical comfort? (LF8 #6)
✸ Can you stop caring whether or not your child looks both ways before crossing the street? (LF8 #7)

You don’t need to conduct studies to answer these questions; the answers are obvious.
These desires are biologically programmed in each of us. They’re part of what makes us human.

They’re powerful motivators. And smart advertisers can tap into them like pushing a plug into
an outlet.😊
