I didn't plan any of this. I helped someone because they needed it. Then another person. Then another. 10+ businesses later (i have added 4 new businesses since the end of March 2026, i was just too lazy to update the carousel i made!)

I'm still learning as I go. But these things I know for certain.

The businesses that do best on social media aren't the ones with the best strategy. They're the ones who keep going when it feels pointless, say something real when it matters, and refuse to make it more complicated than it needs to be.

That's the whole thing. After everything.

I sit at my desk from 9 to 5 most days. I do the work. I show up. I do everything I'm supposed to do.
And there are days when I check the numbers and feel completely invisible.

I'm not writing this for sympathy. I'm writing it because I think you need to hear that someone doing this professionally feels exactly the same way sometimes. It doesn't mean it isn't working. It means it's taking the time it takes.

That's the part the highlight reels skip.

I've been doing this long enough to say this out loud now. Social media doesn't reward good work. It rewards consistency, trend-chasing, and regurgitating what's already working for someone else.

That's not a reason to give up on it. It's a reason to stop expecting it to be fair, and start using it strategically instead. Show up. Say something real. Sell your thing. Get off your phone.

That's the whole strategy.

Nobody asks a woman in a Portuguese class what she wants to do with her life and gets 'social media consultant' as the answer. But here we are.

I started helping people because it felt wrong not to. Someone needed it, I could do it, so I did.

That's still why I do it. Not because I love the hustle. Because small businesses deserve help that doesn't cost a fortune or come wrapped in jargon.

Yup. I forgot to post this on Tuesday! But we move on.
Three weeks of showing you that this doesn't have to be hard. Now it's your turn. One post. This week. About something you already know. That's the only homework.

And if you want a system that means you never start from scratch again, The Barely Social Content Bank is in the link in bio.
No pressure. But if this month has felt like a bit of a lightbulb moment, that's where the next step is.

Thanks for being here. See you in April.

Month by month. Post by post. That's how it gets built. What are you committing to in April? Tell me below.

A month of content. And it still comes back to this. Show up. Say something useful. Do it again. That's the strategy. That's the whole thing.

The businesses I've watched grow (not overnight, not from one viral post), but actually grow in a way that sticks? They all have one thing in common. They kept going when nothing seemed to be happening. They posted on the weeks it felt pointless. They replied to comments when there were only two of them. They kept showing up.

And then one day, it clicked. You're building something. It doesn't happen in a month. But the month you don't show up? That's the month someone else fills the gap.

Keep going.

April starts tomorrow. You've got everything you need. Now it's just about doing it.

The Barely Social Content Bank is in the link in bio if you want a system that makes the whole thing easier. See you on the other side.

I'm not a fan of selling things people don't need. But the Content Bank? It can change how people show up online, because it removes the blank-screen problem completely.

It's not a course. It's not a programme. It's a practical, ready-to-use system for keeping your ideas in one place so you're never starting from scratch. If that sounds like exactly what you've been missing, it's waiting in the link in bio.

No pressure. But if your drafts folder is full of half-written posts and your notes app is chaos, this was made for you.
