Imagine being a parent, holding your newborn, and being told their heart needs surgery.

Now imagine being told you have to travel abroad for that surgery. Away from home, away from support, away from everything familiar — at the hardest moment of your life.

This is the reality thousands of Romanian families have faced for years.

But things are changing. 🧡

Asociatia Inima Copiilor, with the long-term support of NN (a partnership built over five years and over €2 million invested), has just inaugurated the new Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery Section at Marie Curie Children's Hospital in Bucharest.

What this partnership makes possible:
→ More than 500 children treated every year — nearly double what was possible before
→ A second operating theatre dedicated to heart surgeries
→ A cardiac ICU growing from 6 to 15 beds, for the most complex, fragile cases
→ Children with severe heart conditions finally treated at home, close to their families
→ Young Romanian surgeons trained to carry this forward for generations

And this is just the beginning. The same partnership is now funding a brand new neonatal ICU in Târgu Mureș — because every child, no matter where in Romania they're born, deserves a fighting chance.

This Wednesday, June 10, the Learning TapestryConference hits 📌Novotel Bucharest City Centre to throw out old business scripts in the age of automation. Organized by Go Travel and Verita International School - Bucharest, Romania, the event brings seven business, neuroscience, and psychology experts together to challenge how we organize work.

Speakers like Adrian Stanciu, Diana Stafie, and Cosmin Alexandru will focus on the raw skills machines cannot copy, like building the strength to use chaos as an environment to thrive in and doubling down on creative judgment, ethical reasoning, and compassion under pressure.

Today we're celebrating Delia, the person on our team who somehow manages to make everyone work harder without anyone noticing they're being motivated, and she does that with a contagious enthusiasm for what she does! ❤️‍🔥

She brings enough energy to cover for the days when ours runs out, and enough determination to turn a difficult week into a productive one. That same energy, by the way, also goes into talking about Brazilian culture, and at this point, we all know more about Brazil than we ever expected to. 🤭

53 pieces of journalism made it to the jury table of this year's Superscrieri Awards! 🏆

Out of over 300 entries, these are the stories a jury of 22 media professionals deemed worth fighting over: investigations, features, debuts, civic voices, and formats that didn't exist in Romanian media before someone decided to try them.

The 15th edition runs under a slogan that sounds deceptively simple: "Together we achieve more than we think."

For DiFine PR, now in our third consecutive year with Superscrieri, that sentiment lands differently. This year, we're the ones making sure the TV & Video Journalism category gets the attention it deserves.✍️

The public can vote for the Readers' Choice Award (€3,000) until May 15.
