Breaking News

President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Roelf Meyer as South Africa’s new ambassador to the United States.

Meyer is not new to big moments… he played a key role in ending apartheid in the 1990s and worked closely with Ramaphosa during those negotiations.

The position had been empty for over a year after the previous envoy was expelled, so this move signals a clear effort to reset relations between Pretoria and Washington.

Can you pay over $4,500 child support to kids that are not yours?

A South African 🇿🇦 court ordered a divorced man to continue paying maintenance for his ex-wife’s children after ruling that he acted as their parent during the marriage.

The Western Cape High Court said he must pay R40,000 ($ 2356.70) per month for the two teenagers. He must also keep them on his medical aid, pay their medical costs, contribute up to R35,000 ($ 2062.12) per month for rent, and pay R1 million towards his ex-wife’s legal fees.

The court said the children, who are 14 and 16 years old, were used to the lifestyle he provided. It ruled that stopping the support would negatively affect them.

Shocking 😲

A Kenyan honey seller, recently made waves on the internet thanks to a marketing strategy as unique as it is hilarious:

He sells his honey with a photo of his face horribly swollen on the label.

The photo was taken just after he got stung by a bee while harvesting his honey.

He cleverly used this photo, bearing witness to his mishap, to prove the authenticitv of his product. His swollen face became irrefutable and amusing proof that his honey is entirely natural, unprocessed, and harvested directly from the hive through hard work.

This brilliant idea transformed a painfu experience into an incredibly effective and original marketing tool. His ingenuity demonstrates how transparency, combined with a great sense of humor, can create phenomenal buzz and instantly draw the world's attention to a smal business.

Uganda 🇺🇬

Uganda wants to manufacture African fire fighters and sell them to America, Asia and western countries;

In a bold display of African ingenuity, President Yoweri Museveni introduced the Muliro Eater, an innovative firefighting vehicle, to ambassadors from the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, and European Union member states.

The prototype was showcased during a high-profile meeting, highlighting Uganda’s ambition to revolutionize firefighting technology on a global scale.

Inspired by years of witnessing devastating fires ravage towns and regions in countries across the world, as seen on television, President Museveni spearheaded the development of the Muliro Eater.

This groundbreaking vehicle merges traditional African firefighting techniques with advanced military tank technology, creating a robust and versatile solution designed to combat even the most intense blazes.

During the presentation, Museveni expressed his hope that the showcased nations would embrace Uganda’s innovative proposal and become clients of this pioneering technology.

The Muliro Eater represents not only a technological leap but also Uganda’s commitment to philanthropy and the promotion of African innovations on the global stage.
