Are ELIM values clearly visible on your arc flash protective workwear? 🤔

When selecting arc-rated garments, most are familiar with ATPV and EBT.
Another parameter worth understanding is ELIM (Incident Energy Limit).

ELIM indicates the highest incident energy level at which there is no measurable risk of a second-degree burn

In line with EU requirements to reduce risks as far as reasonably practicable, this makes ELIM a relevant factor when evaluating protective clothing.

It’s also important to note:
• ELIM is not always declared at garment level
• Values may differ between fabric and finished garments
• Layering can influence overall protection

We had the pleasure of welcoming CWS Workwear to our head office in Tranemo for a two-day training on protective workwear.

During the training, participants completed both Step 1 and Step 2 of Tranemo Safety Academy:

🔹 Step 1 – fundamental knowledge and standards for protective workwear
🔹 Step 2 – advanced knowledge of flame-resistant workwear and relevant standards

The training was delivered by our flame protection experts, with a strong focus on deepening knowledge of how the right protection contributes to safety in demanding work environments.

We continue to strengthen our warehouse operations to support growth and increased demand. Our logistics setup is powered by AutoStore ensuring efficient and accurate order handling.

We have expanded the system with additional delivery ports, improving picking efficiency, material flow and overall throughput to handle a high order intake with maintained delivery precision.

We are also investing in our on-demand garment customization services by installing two new embroidery machines. With both printing and embroidery now handled in-house, we significantly reduce lead times for customized garments and increase flexibility for our customers.

• reducing unnecessary handling and transport
• improving planning and flow efficiency
• minimizing lead times and overproduction

Tranemo Advanced Workwear Finland is attending Sähkömessut one of Finland’s leading trade fairs for the electrical, energy and safety industries ⚡

This is Tranemo’s fourth time exhibiting, and interest is high. This year, many discussions focus on the updated electrical safety standard SFS 6002 and how to protect against electric arc hazards when risks are present.

It is clear that the need for the right protective workwear, knowledge and guidance continues to grow within the electrical and energy sectors.
