Svarteld ❤️ Washington

I'm not good at talking about my work, but here I am, in the middle of tiny Sweden, with a surprised and proud thought of the fact that my images have found their way all across the globe to Washington. They'll be hanging in an exhibition there during a year, in one of the perhaps more known buildings to us Swedes. More to come. Thanks to all you wonderful people that made the journey of Svarteld form & foto a reality; you know who you are, I'll never forget you ❤️

This year CESAB is celebrating 80 years since the start in Bologna, Italy 1942, and we've made their European anniversary campaign, spanning five languages, now on display in most European countries!

The company was started in Bologna, Italy; a city famous for other motor vehicle heritage like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani, Ducati and Maserati.

We've deigned anniversary graphics inspired by CESAB's logos from the 1940's and 50's. The images use tension and contrast of current color images we've photographed, and archive images from the 40's and 50's.

Images always appears in pairs or fours, to use the contrast between green color and warm faded grayscale, and between new and old.

These pairs or quarters are intersected by the anniversary graphics in white, splitting old and new, with wings joining both surfaces. Current corporate graphics and typography are added.

As a crew of only two persons, we're very proud to have been chosen instead of the large European agencies, to create a widespread and proud campaign for CESAB!

Proud to have designed the cover of John Wilander’s debut book: the hacker thriller "Identified”! And by coincidence, it's actually his birthday today :-)

We’ve 3D scanned a face resembling the main character, and gradually dissolved the 3D model into fewer and fewer polygons, and finally into code (the main character’s ID), to visualise the book’s different layers of identity.

Torn vectors are being ripped off the face in a red color, giving associations to the human flesh that the polygon meshes are symbolising.

Stolt!

Få känner till att jag pluggat arkitektur; har läst de grundläggande estetiska kurserna till arkitekt i Trondheim plus en del industridesign. Valde att bli fotograf och grafisk formgivare, men hjärtat har alltid bott i ett hus av fotografi, arkitektur, geometri och grafik.

Det största inom arkitektur jag gjort hittills är min taklägenhet i Linköping, och något jag är tokigt stolt över. Renoveringen har tagit år; rivning av väggar, 3D-modellering, platsbyggda möbler, inredningsobjekt från 60-tal till nutid, ombyggda äldre armaturer till moderna, och belysning som en fotograf kan leva med. Nu är den en klassisk takvåning med grafiska och geometriska kvaliteter; med marginal Linköpings största etta till försäljning nu.

Kommer du på visning, kan du också se fyra ramade 1,5 m svartvita bilder från min flygutställning som bl a visats i Storbritannien. De kan köpas; ca 20 till finns i källaren. Du kan också lyssna på högtalare som bara finns i några få exemplar i världen; volymen är likadan 10 cm från högtalaren, som 10 m längst bort i rummet, samtidigt.

Visas sö 19/7 kl 12.00, må 20/7 kl 16.30, och to 23/7 kl 17.00. Kom så ses vi; jag är där under cover, kanske som 50-årig mäklarassistent 😉
