What would you wear to a “Fairy Tale” themed wedding?

The wedding was for my friend, who also became my client. And my first thought was pastel-coloured dresses in chiffon and tulle. Beautiful, yes… but not quite my style.

As a contingency plan, I even considered dressing as a witch, usually in black. But then wondered: would that really make the bride happy? 😂

Trying my luck, I visited my favourite thrift shop, The Fashion Pulpit, and found this green dress. It wasn't exactly what I had imagined for the theme, but maybe we could call it “Fairy Tale Foliage”? 🌿✨

In any case, I was very happy with my choice.

When I arrived at the wedding venue, I saw so many different interpretations of “Fairy Tale”. The entire celebration was beautifully put together: from the décor and games to the thoughtful door gifts and, of course, the lovely couple themselves 😍

It truly felt like the beginning of their happily ever after. 💚

I just had this suit tailored by Playmaker Bespoke (https://playmakerbespoke.com/), and I am very happy with how it turned out!

I had been looking for a suit with high-waisted trousers for quite some time, but it was surprisingly difficult to find one off the shelf. Playmaker Bespoke accommodated several of my requests, and it has now become a welcome addition to my business wardrobe.

Many friends have commented on the colour, too. I was looking specifically for a deep green fabric, and this was the closest shade I could find to what I had in mind. I would describe it as close to ’s “Forest Biome”.

In the (Academy of Image Mastery, https://academyofimagemastery.com/ ), a shade like this can be categorised as a Contemporary Neutral — essentially, a slightly more colourful take on a Classic Neutral.

Contemporary Neutrals offer a lovely balance: they retain the professionalism of traditional business colours while adding a subtle modern touch.

After all, a business suit doesn’t always have to be black, navy or grey.

Sometimes, stepping just slightly outside the traditional neutrals is enough to make your business wardrobe feel fresh again.✨

We were delighted to collaborate with 真珠のお店パールファルコ　PearlFALCO once again!

Did you know that pearls should not be left in a jewellery box or sealed bag for too long? As organic gems, they benefit from being worn and cared for. So, don’t save your pearls only for special occasions. They are wonderfully versatile and can elevate casual outfits just as beautifully as formal looks.

During “The Pearl Casual Edit”, participants joined us for a fun 20-minute styling workshop, exploring creative ways to wear and . It was wonderful to see participants styling Pearl Falco’s exquisite pieces so beautifully with their own casual outfits.

Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing my former clients continue to shine in what they do.

I could not be prouder of Sky Shen 沈于翔, who performed his original song, “ ”, during this year’s National Day Parade. What an incredible milestone for a remarkably talented singer-songwriter.

I had the honour of working with Sky Shen on his image journey in 2022. We began with a personal consultation at his home, followed by shopping for outfits and accessories, including his now-iconic white eyewear, which he tells me he still loves to this day! A haircut and styling with Tomo completed the look, before Ian beautifully captured his transformation from the inside out.

I still remember watching Sky Shen perform at his EP launch and being unable to hold back my tears. Seeing him now share his own song as part of such a significant national celebration makes this moment even more special.

Congratulations, Sky. May you continue to touch hearts through your voice, music and story.

Pink leopards? Why not? 🐆🌸

I probably wouldn't have bought this blouse if it had been plain.

Viscose is a beautiful fabric with a lovely drape, but when it's lightweight, it can sometimes make my upper body look a little too slight. Add an animal print, soft ruffles and details that complement my inverted triangle body shape, however, and it creates much better balance.

It's a good reminder that great style isn't just about the colour or the garment itself. Fabric, print, texture and silhouette all work together to create visual harmony.

Sometimes, it's the print that transforms a piece from "not for me" to "absolutely yes."

There is something truly special about watching people light up as they discover the colours that bring out their natural radiance.

These photos bring back wonderful memories of our recent collaboration workshop, "Shine Your True Shades!", created especially for a group of dedicated teachers. It was an afternoon filled with smiles, laughter and moments of self-discovery.

What made the day even more remarkable was that everyone had just returned from a morning excursion with the children. Despite what must have been a long day, their enthusiasm and energy never faded, making the session such a joy to facilitate.

The afternoon began with an inspiring sharing on financial planning by Zann Thiang followed by our interactive personal workshop. We hope everyone left with not only a better understanding of their best colours, but also a renewed confidence to let their natural smile shine even brighter🌈

A heartfelt thank you to Zann and 团 Tuán for inviting L'Atelier K to be part of this thoughtful initiative. It was a privilege to contribute to an afternoon dedicated to appreciating those who care for others every day.

We look forward to creating many more meaningful experiences together.

This photo happened by chance.

I was at The Wicked Light's studio for a client's photoshoot, not my own. But when my friend and talented photographer, Ian, invited me in front of the camera, I thought, why not?

With my usual makeup and an outfit I would happily wear when meeting individual clients or simply going out, we captured a portrait that feels very natural and true to who I am. It is a style that feels relaxed, comfortable, and authentic to me.

There are no suits or blazers here, just Kanako being Kanako.

Thank you, Ian, for always creating such a wonderful experience for both my clients and me. It is always a joy working with you, and I look forward to many more collaborations ahead 📸

We are delighted to continue running our First Impression Workshop, , for Advisors Alliance Group (AAG) ’s new advisor on-boarding programme since 2024.

This week marked our second session for 2026, and it was wonderful to meet another group of fresh and aspiring advisors who are about to begin creating their own success stories.

A few key pointers shared during the session:
♠When tailoring your first business suit, start with deep neutrals such as charcoal grey or navy rather than black.
♠Structured outfits, such as a well-tailored blazer, create a psychological impression of trust, professionalism, and credibility.

We also concluded the session with an express 🌈for each participant, helping them better understand the colours that enhance their professional presence.

With another 4–5 weeks remaining in their programme, we wish all future advisors every success as they embark on this exciting new journey.

Transformation of one’s image does not happen overnight — it is the beginning of a journey of growth, confidence, and self-discovery.

Back in 2018, our client, Nigel, a magician, approached us and courageously stepped beyond his comfort zone to transform his visual image. What made the journey truly meaningful was not only the consultation itself, but his continuous commitment after the consultation to evolving his presence alongside the growth and transition of his business over the years.

During the last seven days, we felt incredibly rewarded witnessing him as a mentalist and keynote speaker at two different occasions — confidently owning the stage with authenticity, charisma, and professionalism.
