Before you think about channels, campaigns, or content calendars, you need to get clear on three things.
Who you're talking to. What problem you solve for them. Why they should choose you over anyone else.

Everything else — the posts, the ads, the emails — only works when those three things are locked in. Without them, you're just adding to the noise.

One showed up every week. The other waited until it was perfect.

Your audience needs to see you regularly before they trust you enough to buy from you. A good post that goes out beats a great post that never does.

I built a workflow that made my content faster and more efficient. And then one afternoon I sat back and felt something I wasn't expecting.

The caption was good. Right tone, right length. But I didn't write it.
As marketers we're used to writing in voices that aren't ours. That's the job. But when the words aren't yours either, that's a different kind of strange.

I wrote about it on the blog this week. About the disconnect, about what it means to be a storyteller in a world where AI can approximate your voice. And about why the companies building AI are now paying six-figure salaries for human storytellers.

I hear this more often than you’d think — sometimes from people who know they’re speaking to a marketer.

One of these days, I might walk into a doctor’s office and say,
“Have you tried drinking more water? I hear that fixes everything.”

Posting is not a strategy.
It’s an output.

Strategy is the quieter, harder work:
deciding what actually matters, what doesn’t,
and where your effort will make a difference — especially when time and budgets are limited.

Activity can look impressive.
Clarity is what moves things forward.

I hear this more often than you’d think — sometimes from people who know they’re speaking to a marketer.

One of these days, I might walk into a doctor’s office and say,

The phone keeps pinging — messages, calls, emails everywhere.
Too many ideas at once, all asking to go first.

I caught myself almost posting just because I “haven’t posted in a while”.
Watching the f4f threads, post your services here in the comments.
But real work often looks slower on the surface, like a duck gliding calmly while everything’s moving underneath.

And then I stopped.

No. This isn’t logical.
You know better. You can do better.

Sometimes we spin our wheels and call it progress.
