Use your 🤑 Black Friday 🤑 offer-themed emails to run A/B tests for later.
You’re probably scheduling and sending out emails more frequent than usual and if you’ve done something right, they’re converting and the business is booming.
Buuuuut here’s a wild idea - now that you’re in your scaling phase, use a larger audience to run A/B tests and set up your strategy later on. We’re feeling festive , so here’s a bunch of them:
1️⃣ Better Placed Order Rate:
Social Proof: Throw in some happy customer quotes. It’s like having a bunch of pals saying, “This is awesome, you gotta check it out!” . If you’re barely just starting, stimulate people to leave you a positive review with a little reward or a coupon code. No shame about it - everybody has done that at some point.
Sending Time: Don’t be that friend who texts at 3 AM. Be that friend who texts at 3 AM, 10 AM, 5PM and 8PM to different friend groups. Find the sweet spot when your audience is all ears.
CTA Placement: It’s like finding the perfect spot for your favorite snack in the pantry. Place that “Buy Now” button where they can’t resist!
2️⃣ Better Click Rate:
CTA Button Design: Outlines, drop shadows, different colors for different associations, icons or no icons. It’s like dressing up for a party—sometimes you nail it, sometimes you try it and think “okay, I should’ve gone with the black one”.
CTA Text: What’s the magic word? Test different phrases until you find the one. It’s like when you were trying to persuade your mom to take you to McDonalds and it took you a few times to nail that one successful pitch.
Layout Templates: Think of it like rearranging furniture for better feng shui. Find a layout that works, has a functional hierarchy and appealing CTAs.
Images vs. GIFs: Make it GIF! If your product has a visual after effect or benefit, pack the images into a GIF. They take less scrollng space and promise more interaction. You might find out that a combination of both GIF and images is the go-to for you. Klaviyo’s your oyster.
3️⃣ Better Open Rate:
Subject Length: Short and sweet or a bit of a tease? Test different subject line lengths to see what gets that “open now” finger twitching.
Subject Personalization: “We miss you, ______“. Let them know you’re thinking about them. Personalize those subject lines to make your readers feel like VIPs. Don’t be like their dry-texting ex who didn’t give them any attention.
Emojis vs. No Emojis: Replace some words with emojis and let scratch that itch in their brain. Some love it, some hate it. Test ’em out, but don’t go overboard. Nobody likes a cupcake drowning in sprinkles.
Preview Text: The sidekick nobody talks about! Give a sneak peek that’s as intriguing as a movie trailer. Spoiler alert: they’ll click.
Sender Name: Friend, brand, virtual therapist or assistant? Test different sender names to see who gets more hugs. Virtual, of course, get the real ones after you’ve scheduled all these test and head home early to your family.
