Welcome to the 6th Matriculation Ceremony of Kenema ICT and Management College!

A Visit to a Brother in the Media World

In a world where relationships often fade with time and position, I paid a blessed visit to my old school friend and media boss, Mr. Phillip Koroma, Regional Chairman of SLAJ, at the SLAJ Eastern Region office in Kenema.

Our bond spans over two decades, what began as youthful friendship has grown into brotherhood built on respect, growth, and shared purpose.

Mr. Koroma’s journey reminds us that true leadership is not about titles or noise, but about impact, humility, and consistency.

Reconnecting with him was more than a visit; it was a reflection on loyalty, progress, and the unbroken spirit of brotherhood that time cannot erase.

True brotherhood never fades; it only grows stronger with time.

On October 5th, the vibrant community of Kenema came alive with excitement as the Sierra Leone Teachers Union (SLTU) Kenema faced off against the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) Kenema in a friendly football match, celebrating World Teacher Day. The event was not only a showcase of athletic skills but also an opportunity to honor the invaluable contributions of teachers in nurturing and shaping the future of the nation.

As the sun shone brightly over the Kenema football field, the air buzzed with joy and camaraderie. Students, parents, and community members gathered to support their teams, creating an atmosphere filled with cheers, laughter, and encouragement. Banners proclaiming “Happy World Teacher Day!” adorned the sidelines, reminding everyone present of the reason for the festivities.

The match kicked off with an enthusiastic whistle, and both teams displayed remarkable sportsmanship and competitive spirit. The SLTU team, donning their blue jerseys emblazoned with the emblem of the Teachers Union, showcased their teamwork and skill. Their expertise on the field reflected the dedication and discipline they cultivate in their classrooms.

On the opposing side, the SLAJ team, proudly wearing jerseys that represented freedom of the press, fought valiantly to assert their place in the game.
