The Power of Drug Addiction 😭

A whole graduate has become a menace to society as a result of drug addiction. 😭

What is the role of the government in combating this dangerous drug called Kush? 🥺

Parents, relatives, and families are in pain because of what is happening to their loved ones. No parent is happy to see their fully grown son or daughter reduced to such a devastating state.

May God intervene and bring healing to those affected. At the same time, justice must prevail against the importers, distributors, and everyone else involved in the illegal drug trade.

The fight against Kush requires collective action from the government, law enforcement, communities, families, and individuals. 🙏🏾

A Friendship That Never Left the Heart 😢

They were best friends during high school. He was not just a friend, he was his study mate, someone with whom he shared dreams, laughter, challenges, and hopes for the future.

They graduated from high school together with excellent grades. Their future seemed bright, but life took them on different paths. One went on to university, while the other was not fortunate enough to continue his education. 😢

Things became increasingly difficult for him. With no opportunity to further his studies, he turned to street hustling just to survive. Despite his struggles, he remained supportive of his siblings and friends, always trying to help others even when he had very little himself.

Sadly, the support he needed to pursue his education never came. Frustration, disappointment, and stress gradually took over. According to information received, he eventually started using drugs. Over the years, his mental and psychological state deteriorated, and he eventually became severely mentally ill. 😭

Yet, despite everything he had gone through, one thing remained unchanged—he always recognised his old friend.

Whenever he saw him, his face lit up with happiness. There was still a connection between them that hardship and illness could not erase.

When he heard that his old study mate was graduating from university, he reportedly kept telling people that he wanted to attend the graduation ceremony. Perhaps, deep inside, he remembered the dreams they once shared as young students.

After graduation, his old friend decided to find him and spend some time together.

When they finally met, he was happy… while his old friend was crying. 😢😭

One was celebrating a dream that had finally come true. The other was standing before a painful reminder of a dream that life had taken away.

Sometimes, people do not fail because they lack intelligence or ambition. Sometimes, life simply becomes too difficult, and the support they need never comes.

His story is a reminder that behind every person struggling on the streets is a human being with a history, a dream, a family, and perhaps a story we may never fully understand.

May we learn to support one another while there is still time. ❤️‍🩹
