*Court Blocks Lands Ministry From Interfering With DIP Lands Linked to Hon. Roseline Hawa Siaffa*
*By K. Wise*
A major court ruling has emerged in the ongoing land dispute involving the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Country Planning and the Development Initiative Programme (DIP) connected to Hon. Roseline Hawa Siaffa. The High Court has issued an interim injunction preventing the Ministry from taking any action against the land owned by the organization.
The order, delivered on March 11, 2026 by the High Court’s Land, Property and Environment Division, stops the Ministry, the Minister, and the Director of Surveys from entering, remaining on, or interfering with the large stretch of land belonging to DIP along Bathurst–Gloucester Road.
This ruling means that officials from the Ministry must stay away from the properties until the court fully examines and decides the case. The temporary injunction is intended to ensure that the land owned by DIP and its affiliated organizations remains untouched while the legal proceedings continue.
The case has already sparked widespread public attention, as many now wait to see how the court will finally resolve the dispute over the valuable land.
