The Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, H.E. Gen. Charles Madut Akol, on Saturday returned to the State capital, Aweil, following a month-long official visit to Juba during which he engaged with the National Leadership and various government institutions on matters affecting the State.
During his stay in Juba, Governor Madut briefed the national leadership on the general security, humanitarian, and development situation in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, while also seeking urgent support to address the growing humanitarian needs of returnees, refugees, and other vulnerable communities across the State.
The Governor further held consultations with several national ministries, institutions, and partners aimed at strengthening coordination, collaboration, and service delivery in key sectors including security, infrastructure, health, education, and agriculture.
Upon his arrival at Aweil Airport, Governor Madut was warmly received by senior State officials led by the Deputy Governor, Hon. Tong Lual Ayat, alongside the Speaker of the State Transitional Legislative Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abuk Jiel Dhieu, members of the State Cabinet and Independent Commissions, Heads of organized forces and security organs, as well as members of the public.
