The Rise of Silver X
Okuta Ceaser Malish Jeremiah (born December 2, 1988 in Torit, South Sudan, known by his stage name Silver X, is a South Sudanese singer. Silver X has won many East African awards in Nairobi, Kenya as well as South Sudanese awards in Juba.

Before finding residence in Juba in 2007, he released his first album named Binia Lotuko before he founded a musical group named New Sudan Superstars in 2008. Since the inception of Silver his living in Juba he has released his second album titled Wasaaka Bataal
fifth studio album Wele which was voted as Voice of the People (VP) song of the year and it was also voted as a song of the year by SSOSA music awards. In the year of 2012 he launched Masura, 2013 he launched Carolina, in 2014 he launched Ana Bi Wori, and in 2015 he launched Dunia Karabu. Silver X launched a video in Nairobi on 29 April 2016, the song titled East African Lover, it is Silver X's first collaboration with Kenyan female singer Rennee. The U.S. magazine Foreign Policy included Silver X as one of its 100 "top global thinkers" in 2014. Silver X is one of the talented artist in the world today.

• Attended Sudan Military College in infantry training and graduated as Second Lt in Sudan Armed Forces as an outstanding and leading graduate in military and academic performance.
• Attended Sudan Military College in Military Intelligence training
• Ascended to the Rank of Captain in Sudan Military Intelligence
• Served in various military garrisons in North and Southern Sudan.
Gen. Salva Kiir also has an honorary degree from Kenya.

As Member of the First Rebellion In Southern Sudan:
• Joined the first Southern Sudan Rebellion Army (Anya-nya) at age of 17 years old.
• Attend first guerrilla warfare training in the early 1960s
• Participated in various guerrilla warfare in Southern Sudan till the signing of the Addis Ababa Agreement in 1972.

As A Founding Member of the SPLM/SPLA:
• Participated in the early formation of the SPLM/A with his comrades Col. Dr. John Garang, Lt Col. Karbino Kuonyin Bol, Lt Col. William Nyuon Bany in the Sudan Armed Forces in the early 1980s.
• Participated in the rebellion in 1983 under the leadership of the late Dr. John Garang.
• Member of the First SPLM/A Military-Political High Command Council in 1983 and that included Col. Dr. John Garang, Lt Col. Karbino Kuonyin Bol, Lt Col. William Nyuon Bany, Hon. Joseph Oduho, Justice Majier G*i, Major, Salva Kiir, and Major Arok Thon Arok.
• He was a commander of the first SPLA Battalion (Tiger) and commanded various SPLA forces that captured many towns in Sudan.

The concert to go ahead despite Artists’ Union claim that it would be cancelled.

Rapper Kay Law Lama who claimed to be Artists’ Union advisor in recorded video yesterday said the show won’t happen because the organiser had not sought approval from Artists’ Union.
