A girl with access to education becomes a woman with choices, confidence, and a voice.

When we empower girls, we do more than support one individual, we strengthen families, transform communities, and build a better future for generations to come.

Unfortunately, many girls around the world still face barriers such as poverty, early marriage, discrimination, and limited access to education.

These challenges continue to hold back their dreams and potential.

As we continue advocating for Sustainable Development Goal 5 – Gender Equality, let us remember that every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, lead, and succeed.

Empowering girls is not charity, it is an investment in peace, progress, and sustainable development.

What happens when she stays in school?

At PASS USA, we are guided by evidence and lived realities. According to UN Women, girls who complete secondary education are more likely to take on leadership roles later in life.

This is not just a statistic. It is a pathway we see unfolding in real time.

One girl is forced to leave school early due to financial hardship, household responsibilities, or early marriage risks. Without continued access to education, her opportunities remain limited, and her leadership potential is constrained by circumstance.

Another girl is supported to complete secondary school and advances to university. There, she gains more than academic knowledge. She gains confidence, networks, and the capacity to lead. She steps into spaces where decisions are made and begins to shape the future of her community and beyond.

This is why PASS USA invests in keeping girls in school and supporting their journey to higher education.
A girl’s education can stop when support is missing.
But it continues when support arrives on time.

Through Thrivent, the funds are already provided.
No extra money is required from you.
You simply direct what already exists, and that can keep a girl in school.

Thrivent members; be the reason she stays in school. Direct your Choice Dollars today.

Padoc Area Scholars Society, is building a South Sudan where women lead and thrive.

Investing millions to educate girls, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, is more than charity, it’s the foundation of a stronger nation.

When girls learn, they lead. When women lead, communities rise.

In the quiet early hours of South Sudan, before the world fully wakes, Basamat is already awake.

Not by choice, but by responsibility.

Growing up with older parents, she learned to understand struggle long before she understood comfort. While many her age were learning how to dream freely, Basamat was learning how to balance survival and hope. She cares for her younger siblings, guiding them through each day, while still holding tightly to her own pursuit, education.

There are days when the weight feels heavy. Days when school fees, family needs, and uncertainty sit on her shoulders at once. Yet she does not stop.

Because for Basamat, education is more than classrooms and books. It is dignity. It is protection. It is the possibility of rewriting what the future looks like for her family and for generations after her.

Every lesson she attends is a step away from limitation. Every exam she prepares for is a declaration that her story will not end in struggle.

Basamat is not only studying for herself. She is building a bridge for her siblings, her family, and every girl who believes her circumstances define her ending.

But she cannot walk this path alone.

Her future, like that of many young South Sudanese women, depends on collective action, sustained investment, and global solidarity.

We are calling on partners, donors, and global advocates to stand with girls like Basamat, to ensure that education is not a privilege of chance, but a right of consistency.

Because when a girl stays in school, a future is secured.
Thrivent Community: Support Basamat and her education. Stand with education. Stand with hope.

Sunday’s biggest fear is losing her right to education. Not because she lacks the drive to learn, but because one unpaid fee could pause everything she has worked for.

For some students, staying in school depends on one simple decision. The moment support comes through is the moment their story continues.

At PASS USA, we’ve seen how timely support changes everything. Girls like Sunday don’t have to sit at home wondering if their dreams will wait. They get to keep going.

Your Choice Dollars can be part of that support. No new money is required.

Use what’s already available. Direct your Choice Dollars today.
