The Association for Media Development in South Sudan (AMDISS) has elected The Radio Community (TRC) Chief Executive Officer Chris Marol as Chairperson of its Board of Directors during its 23rd Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Media Mentors Network Executive Director and Project Coordinator are among the partners attending the JICA-UNESCO three-day project coordination meeting.

UNESCO is implementing a two-year funded project on the development of mass media to improve access to information for elections and post-elections in South Sudan.

The coordination meeting is bringing together beneficiaries from eight project locations, the University of Juba, and media rights advocacy groups such as the Union of Journalists of South Sudan and the Association for Media Development in South Sudan, among others.

The three-day project coordination meeting was officially opened by the Undersecretary, Hon. Mawien Bulabek, Ministry of Information, Telecommunications and Postal Services.
