Al-Rahman Mosque
Spiritual Beauty in the Heart of Aleppo
In the serene Al-Sabeel district of , Aleppo stands the majestic Al-Rahman Mosque, a true symbol of faith, heritage, and architectural brilliance.
Foundation & Funding:
Construction began in 1976, funded entirely through local charitable donations, under the leadership of the late philanthropist Mohammad Badinjki, with support from Sheikh Mohammad Al-Shami .
Architect & Design:
The mosque was masterfully designed by architect Bashir Al-Muhandis, who contributed his work free of charge. He was supported by engineers Zuheir Al-Kheimi and Suhail Binqisli, and renowned calligrapher Mohammad Kamel Fares.
Completion:
After nearly two decades of planning and dedication, the mosque was completed and opened in the early 1990s, around 1994.
Architectural Style:
The mosque blends modern Islamic architecture with influences from early Umayyad design .
جامع الرحمن ، بهاء روحي في قلب حلب
في حي السبيل النابض بالحياة في حلب، يتربع جامع الرحمن شامخاً كرمز للإيمان ، التراث ، والإبداع المعماري.
التمويل والتأسيس:
بدأ البناء عام 1976، بتمويل كامل من تبرعات أهلية، بقيادة المحسن الراحل محمد بادنجكي، وبدعم من الشيخ محمد الشامي .
المهندس والتصميم:
قام بتصميم الجامع المهندس بشير المهندس، الذي قدّم عمله دون مقابل. وشاركه في المشروع المهندسان زهير الخيمي وسهيل بنقسلي، مع الخطاط البارز محمد كامل فارس في الزخارف الخطّية.
الانتهاء من البناء:
اكتمل المسجد بعد قرابة عشرين عاماً من العمل والتخطيط، وتم افتتاحه في أوائل التسعينيات، حوالي عام 1994.
الطراز المعماري:
يمزج الجامع بين العمارة الإسلامية الحديثة وتأثيرات من الطراز الأموي المبكر
