Vybe aims to provide business owners with a centralized platform for them to market their services and products to the local market by availing :
• A profile to show information about the location, contact details and products of the enterprise.
• A feed to allow users / customers to interact with the business and its products or services.
• A calendar to schedule any of the business’s important days or events.
• An event profile to inform the users about the business’s events.
• A manager profile, where the data is added and other managerial functionality can be found. This includes creating events, adding businesses under the managers account, getting notifications about users who interact with the managers events and businesses added and managing the events and businesses by editing or deleting posted information.
• Functionality to allow customers to post about the businesses or the events created.
• Functionality to allow customers to view different and change categories of businesses or events, thus naturally sorting the data and providing healthy competition for businesses under the same category.

Small Business owners like to run their businesses at the lowest cost possible and at the most possible convenience. They rely on international software solutions to solve their day to day worries such as increasing sales revenue stream by marketing of the business, customer creation and retention, as well as handling of business finances. These business owners want local solutions that will meet the enterprise goals and understand the value of being cost effective, all the while assisting the business grow by increasing sales revenue stream from the local market. With the increase in mobile phone and internet usage and coverage, and the vast expansion in social media marketing platforms, it has become less effective to market on these platforms because they have a large pool of users, thus a business owner may market a new product and some potential clients may end up not seeing it due to the overflow of data on the platform(s).

A solution to the problem outlined above is the development of software platform where both business owners and their customers will be able to access information and access to products. The system is called Vybe and operates on the mobile phone domain with an android operating system.

The purpose of Vybe is to provide a platform for small businesses to market their services and products, thus leading to increased sales and increased local market share at low cost and high level service, and furthermore enable ease of access of information to the businesses’ customers.
