Good Morning Young Entrepreneurs

As you start your day and go about building your empire, one brick at a time, here is the article to help you apply for the Leadership Growth Forum-LGF Youth Mentee opportunity.

Before starting to fill out this application, you will need 2 crucial things:
1. Purpose Statement. This simply needs you to discuss how you hope a mentor can help you in your entrepreneurial journey. As young people on our journey, we are at different stages and we have different needs. For you to get the best out of this mentorship program, you need to clearly explain the area where you feel you are lacking the most and how you hope your mentor can help you address that deficiency so that you can move to the next level of your entrepreneurship journey.
As for me, "I hope my mentor will help me to develop the entrepreneurial character and psychology, which will make me a high-value entrepreneur who brings high-value to the market and therefore receives high rewards." This is because for most of my life, I have been an academic who focuses more on the technical side (aka product/service) of the business but I have quickly and painfully realized that for true entrepreneurial growth, there are certain characteristics, mindset shifts, and traits that I need to develop before I can move on to the next level in my journey.
You must clearly explain what you hope to get from this mentorship opportunity in your application. As difficult as it is to face your deficiencies, it is of the utmost importance to do so if you want to move to the next level. Remember, no one is perfect, we are all on an an endless journey of learning and self-discovery.

2. You must have a well-written CV that captures your essence as an entrepreneur. I find it helpful to always amplify the relevant information, in this case, it would be any entrepreneurial experience or training and any technical experience or training on your actual business that you are currently pursuing. You should also highlight any projects that you carried out to capture the skills you used or developed during the project, as this is helpful in estimating your current skill level and your needs as far as practical entrepreneurship skills are concerned. You can also include other experience or training you might have obtained but it is key to highlight the relevant experience and amplify it.

Once you have these things in order, you are ready to start.

1. Go to https://leadershipgrowthforum.org/youth/ using your phone or computer
2. You will be directed to a webpage (as illustrated in the first image of this post), where you will fill in all the necessary details.
3. You can then type in your well-prepared Purpose Statement discussed above and upload your CV (it is recommended to always use PDF Format when uploading), as illustrated in the second image of this post.
4. Once you have successfully completed the application, click on Submit, as illustrated in the third image of this post.
*Common Errors:
Ensure that you fill out the form correctly otherwise, it will not be sent. Please see the fourth image on this post.
*Even if you selected Entrepreneurship as the program you are applying for, you will still need to select a tertiary institution. For more guidance on this, see the fifth image of this post.
5. Wait for a confirmation that your application was received, as illustrated in the sixth image of this post.
