Since Memorial Day Weekend feels like the unofficial start of Summer…

Here are a few screenshots that have been inspiring me lately. Not all from this year, and not necessarily things I want to buy.

More than products, I save images because they help me think about how I want to get dressed and feel this season.

Sometimes it’s a color, a silhouette, an accessory, or simply a mood.

What I chose to wear today.

It’s a sunny Spring day, but still chilly.

I had color analysis sessions during the day and dinner with girlfriends later, so I wanted something comfortable, polished, and with a sense of ease.

I decided to wear neutrals with a bit of color:

• Butter yellow Uniqlo sweater — old

• Off-white jeans from a Uniqlo special collection — old

• Wool blazer from that I love — old

• Silk & lace scarf by , an Aussie brand

• necklace (gifted — I’ll link it later)

• Red shoes — old

• Pre-loved Tod’s bag from

And a little styling note:

I didn’t choose the red shoes because of the red detail on the scarf. I simply needed comfortable shoes with a low heel because of the pants. Sometimes outfits come together in a less “perfectly planned” way than people think.

Lately, I’ve been doing many color analysis sessions with women who are embracing or considering going gray.

They all ask similar questions:

How fashion shapes, transforms, and expresses the body, across time.

I visited the new Costume Institute exhibition at the The Met Museum today, and this is what stayed with me.

Clothing seen through the lens of the body, how it relates to it, and tells a story.

The exhibition is organized into themes like:
Reclaimed Body, Pregnant Body, Corpulent Body, Epidermal Body, Vital Body, Anatomical Body, Inscribed Body, Aging Body, Mortal Body, Disabled Body.

It’s also the first exhibition in the new Costume Institute galleries. The space is large and beautiful, and I liked how mannequins are displayed.

I went on the first day, it was crowded, even with scheduled entry for members of the museum only.

Of course, I’ll be back. It’s impossible to take it all in in one visit.

If you’re in NY, it’s worth seeing, and I’d love to hear what stayed with you too.
