WPO World Packaging Organisation sincerely thanks everyone who participated in the 2026 WPO Packaging Training Program (20–21 August), in partnership with APEE.

Over two days, packaging professionals and industry experts exchanged knowledge on sustainability, Life Cycle Assessment, artificial intelligence, SAVE FOOD, performance testing and quality management.

Thank you to everyone who joined the WPO World Packaging Organisation webinar “Packaging y sostenibilidad: tendencias y perspectivas en América Latina”.

The event was a great success, bringing together representatives from seven WPO member countries: Argentina (Instituto Argentino del Envase ), Brazil (ABRE - Associação Brasileira de Embalagem ), Chile (CENEM_CHILE ), Cuba (Centro Nacional de envases y embalajes (CNEE) ), Mexico (Asociación Mexicana de Envase y Embalaje ), Peru ( ), and Venezuela (Cámara Venezolana del Envase ).

The WPO World Packaging Organisation is proud to announce the launch of the World Packaging Day (WPD), a global call to raise awareness of packaging as a strategic enabler of our modern life in society, to be celebrated every year around September 6, marking the anniversary of WPO’s foundation.

The date aims to increase public awareness on the role packaging plays as a strategic tool in sourcing more than 8 billion people on earth, and to establish a globally recognized platform that encourages collaboration among institutions, industry, academia and society to advance responsible, sustainable and innovative packaging solutions and circularity.
