Interesting Facts About Football
Football is a complex game. It has many complicated rules, regulations, and strategic situations that teams and players can take advantage of. How many of these exciting football facts do you know?

This article will dive deep into the different rule variations, history of the game, and uncommon football situations that don’t necessarily happen every game.
Fair Catch Kick
A fair-catch kick is an unfamiliar rule often called in any football game. The rule states that when a team fair catches a punt, they are eligible for a “fair catch kick.”

How is this possible?

This is when a team gets a chance to kick an uncontested field goal for a chance at 3 points. Here are the details:

The return team needs to call for a clear fair catch, and successfully catch the football
Once the ball is caught, the special teams unit will then come on to the field to attempt a field goal
The defense can not rush the kicker. However, they can return a fair catch kick for a chance to score a touchdown. Essentially as soon as the ball is kicked, it is played like a field goal.
Pop Warner Was Actually a Person
Pop Warner, who most will relate to the youth football league, was a major innovator in football. Glenn Scobey “Pop” Warner went on to create many notable additions in the game, such as:

Single and Double Wing Formations
3 Point Stance
Huddle
Spiral Pass and Spiral Punt
Play-designs:

Trap Play
Bootleg Play
Naked Reverse
Screen Pass
A former player and a famous coach – Glenn, was one of the great innovators of the game of football. Notable for his wins in the college ranks, Pop Warner coaches for the following teams:

University Of Georgia
Cornell University
Carlisle University
Pittsburgh University
Stanford University
Temple University
Picking Up a Touched Punt By Punt Team
This rule is rarely taken advantage of. If a member of the punting team touches the football (in the air or when it is rolling), the receiving team may pick up the football and try to pick up as many yards as possible with no consequences.
If the player fumbles the ball, the team will not lose possession. The kicking team is already technically “downed” (when they touched the player in the air or when it was rolling). Therefore the receiving team can take the ball back from where it was initially touched.

Facts About Twix
Twix is a candy bar that was introduced in U.K. in 1967 and U.S. in 1979 and had been known as a Raider bar in some places until 1991 despite concerns over the change being a marketing ploy to some. This type of bar features a cookie center with a caramel topping all covered in a milk chocolate coating. Two of these bars come in each package. Twix bars come in many varieties including a version with a chocolate cookie and a peanut butter topping. Various other forms have appeared too including mint, ice cream and double chocolate bars. It might be almost as much fun as cannabis, CBD Gummies, or magic mushrooms if we are TBH.

Twix is one of those pieces of candy that many folks can remember craving and seeking out as children. The shiny wrapper around the those two Twix Bars was just too much too resist for many an adolescent – and to many an adult as well. Eating some Twix with a cold glass of water or with some almonds or pancakes is simply the best.

Facts About Solar Energy
Fact #1: Solar power is the most abundant source of energy on the planet.5

Fact #2: More solar energy reaches Earth in one hour than the world uses all year.6

Fact #3: Sunlight takes approximately eight minutes to reach the Earth.7

Fact #4: About 30% of incoming solar radiation is reflected back into space and the rest is absorbed by clouds, oceans, and land.1

Fact #5: Solar energy has been used by plants and microorganisms since the beginning of time.3

Fact #6: Solar energy is the most widely used renewable energy source.1

Fact #7: 173,000 terawatts of solar energy hit the Earth continuously – that’s greater than 10,000 times the world’s total energy use.8

Fact #8: The first silicon solar cell was developed by Bell Laboratories in 1954.3

Fact #9: There are over 57 million square miles of land on Earth. In order to power the entire planet, we would need to install solar panels on just over 191,000 square miles.7

Fact #10: 1 megawatt (MW) of solar energy can power over 200 homes.5

Fact #11: The photovoltaic (PV) effect was discovered by French scientist Edmond Becquerel in 1839.3

Fact #12: Photovoltaic cells were first used in satellites and consumer electronics. The large-scale application of solar came much later.3

Fact #13: Solar-powered calculators were invented in 1978, and are likely the first way you used solar energy.7

Batteries Facts

Interesting Batteries Facts:
The word 'battery' in reference to the power source device is borrowed from the word 'battery' used to reference a group of weapons working together.
Batteries work by providing continuous DC (direct current) electricity. The battery will work until all of the energy has been used up. If it rechargeable it can be used again. If it is not rechargeable then it is garbage.
The power in a battery is created by chemistry.
Rechargeable batteries were invented in 1836 by an English chemist. This battery was designed with lead-acid technology and is still the type used for car batteries.
Batteries come in a variety of sizes and shapes. The most common are AAA, AA, C, and D sized.
Batteries can be made with lead-acid, LiPo, Li-ion, NiMH, alkaline, and NiCd.
NiMH batteries are nickel metal hydride and are commonly used in portable electronics such as toys and portable home phones.
Alkaline batteries are used in portable devices such as flashlights, toys, portable home phones, and calculators. These come in 1.5 and 9 volts.
NiCd batteries are nickel cadmium batteries and they are capable of holding more energy. The drawback is that cadmium is toxic and hold less energy every time if not fully discharged before recharging.
Li-ion are lithium ion batteries and are not toxic and are smaller and charge faster than NiCd batteries. They are commonly used in tablets, gaming systems, and cell phones.
Li-Po are lithium polymer batteries and are light weight and have high current output. They are commonly used for remote control vehicles.
Rechargeable batteries will eventually degrade to the point that they are no longer usable.
Batteries can come as wet cell, or dry cell.
Manhattan's southern shore is referred to as 'The Battery'.
It is possible to use potatoes as a source of battery power, although they are not capable of producing a lot of it.
Lemons can also be used to make power.
The smallest battery in the world was created with a 3D printer, and is only the size of a grain of sand.
Prior to the Energizer Bunny becoming famous as the face of Energizer batteries, a pink bunny was used by Duracell. Duracell forgot to renew their trademark and Energizer scooped it up.
