Now as for notorious hijackers here is an image picked from the listing as an example of what it is. So called hijacker is some other seller who operates from your listing. At the same time, he neither registers any brand nor he generates his own listing. He, nevertheless, makes a profit.😤

What is Hijacker Hazard?

☝️The danger lies in the Buy Box. The BB system automatically transfers it to the lowest bidder. That's why even if you detected a hijacker, you have to monitor the pricing to make sure it's lower than the cheeky competitor's.

🛑Remember, a reseller who bought a product from you in bulk and sells it at a higher price on a separate listing is not a hijacker. It's a reseller - don't get confused.

How to get rid of a hijacker?

⚫️First, you can text the Hijacker himself and ask him to leave. But this method is most likely to fail. ⚫️Second, you can report the hijacker to the general support asking them to remove him from your listing. But that, also, rarely works out 100%.

Today we would like to tell you about a case study to share some of our experiences. 🙌

A lingerie manufacturer addressed us to help increase his sales. As you must have noticed, Amazon is not the only sales platform, but one of the major ones. 🙂

The request was to optimize promotional campaigns without increasing advertising expenses, and, consequently, reducing ACOS.🫰

What did we do?

🔶Optimization of keywords
We started choosing words that would get a lot of clicks but were assigned to sales. We wanted to mark these words as negative so that promo campaigns would no longer be indexed by these words.🤓

We selected these words, but noticed that many of them were relevant to the product, and should still be leading to sales. Marking these words as negative would only reduce the number of potential purchases. Further analysis of the CTR made us realize that the words we wanted to mark negative were truly relevant. 🤞

🔶Customer journey analysis
We clearly understood that the first image of the product worked great providing a good conversion rate but with no further targeted action from the buyer - no purchase followed. Here it got absolutely clear that something was stopping the buyer from making a purchase.

There are some options possible here. First, it can be our competitors who are stealing our customers from the listing using advertising. Next, the customer is not really happy with the type of listing (bullets, pictures, A+ content)😎

Specifically in this case the product was not top position, and competitors did not target the product. So that leaves option 2.

🔶Listing Improvement
We started analyzing our listing and discovered that it was way worse than competitors' listing so we have restructured it, except for the main picture as it had worked well. We changed bullets, pictures, and A+ content.

🤘After the update, we immediately detected changes in advertising showing increased sales which added to the already good CTR. Thus, we have optimized advertising and ACOS without making any changes to the ad campaigns. There were more sales for the same advertising budget.

🔶🔶🔶The goal was achieved.
Conclusion: advertising and filling of listing are interrelated. Both components are tightly dependent on each other and you can't manage by using only one tool to obtain quality results.

Does the number of reviews matter?😼

When you decide to buy from an online shop, what is the first thing you pay attention to? Of course, the reviews. More precisely to their number.😉

Customers like to see a lot of reviews. Sellers do too. One single review may not convince on quality of a product or service, however a few dozen reviews with similar feedback inspire confidence. 😁

One study shows that consumers want to see at least 40 reviews to start trusting the average star rating. That doesn't mean they'll read them all to see the total number of reviews, they'll just scroll through the feed. 😳

That's why, before some product gets to market each review in the system is real important. So it's worth remembering that number of reviews has a stronger effect on sales than number of stars. For example, a seller who is rated 4.2 with 10,000 reviews will be selling better than a seller rated 4.8 with 2,000 reviews.🤯
