The First Farmers' Radio in Uganda KRC102 FM "the farmer's voice" is the first farmer's radio in Uganda.

It operates and targets more than 70% of the population in the Rwenzori region including: Kabarole, Kasese, Bundibugyo, Kamwenge, Ntoroko, Kyenjojo and Kyegewa. The programs feature Music, Talk-Shows, Recitals and religious presentations. The station transmits 24 hours.

Police in Rwenzori West have recovered 11 double 1 single number plates of motor vehicles that they recovered from different parts in fortportal. Norman Musinga the RPC Rwezori West has appealed to vehicle owners not to pay money to the number plate thieves saying the action promotes the vice. PRO Rwenzori west Vincent Twesige says the operation is ongoing.

Hon Patrick Okabe MP Serere has this morning alongside his wife perished in a nasty accident.

Uganda Police Statement on Budaka Fatal Accident.

The territorial police at Budaka has today 19th December 2022 at around 7am, registered a fatal accident, at Nabowa town council, along the Mbale Tirinyi Road, involving motor vehicle reg no UBK 995F, a Toyota land Cruiser, and Isuzu box body registration number KCX 071K, killing on spot, the occupant in the Land Cruiser identified as Hon Okabe Patrick the Member of Parliament Serere constituency, while his wife Chritine Okabe died on the way to Hospital. The Driver only identified as Jacob remains in critical condition at Mbale regional referral hospital.

The cause of the accident has been attributed to the Isuzu box body driver who was speeding, drifted from his side to the side of the Landcruister that was coming from Mbale heading to Iganga and had a head on collision.

The driver of the Fuso box body is on the run after causing the accident.

The king of Toro Dr.Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi the fourth says the HIV prevalence rates in some parts of Toro kingdom are worrying.
The figures show Kabarole and Fort portal have the second highest HIV/AIDS prevalence rates in the country standing at 14.6% after that of Kalangala district at 18%.
