world bee celebration 20 May 2026. Bee together for people and planet A partnership that sustains us all.
Buzzing with excitement and learning, the bee day celebration brought together youth, people with disabilities, environmentalists,and community members from Lwatama, kibuku county , kabweri seed secondary school, and kadama trading center kabweri constituency, kibuku district to celebrate the vital role bees play in our ecosystem.
The event featured interactive activities such as honey and propolis testing, tree planting, blending cultural knowledge with modern Beekeeping, educational talks, and live demonstrations. participants discovered how bees support food production, biodiversity, and environmental conservation, while learning about their harmonious coexistence with people and planet.
One of the highlights was the showcase of locally produced honey and handmade bee products -including candles, soap and venom -syrup which drew great interest from attendees.
