Justice hunter Katushabe Ronald Politician former 2026 Uganda Presidential Aspirant responds to rumours that he was self interested for him to stand for President.
he mentioned that he wanted a real system change and Justice reforms that favour all Ugandans regardless of your status.
On Wednesday, 13th August 2025, Katushabe Ronald, also known as Justice Hunter, rode a bicycle from Ntinda Najim Mall to the Electoral Commission offices in Ntinda to pick up presidential nomination forms for Uganda’s 2026 elections.

Escorted by boda bodas and joined by Ugandans along the way, Justice Hunter’s ride drew mixed reactions — many cheering, others filming the moment.

He promised to challenge in court the requirements for presidential candidates, calling them unfair and unconstitutional:

20 million UGX nomination fee — “too high for ordinary Ugandans.”

100 signatures from 98 districts — “favours those in power and with political structures.”

Justice Hunter pledged to campaign across Uganda only by bicycle, to connect with ordinary Ugandans and highlight the struggles of the poor and suffering.

The Sentence:

Implications:
The case has sparked concerns about freedom of expression, judicial independence, and the rule of law in Uganda. Semakadde's supporters see him as a champion of justice and democracy, while others view his actions as unprofessional and contemptuous.

Next Steps:
Semakadde plans to appeal the conviction, arguing that the sentence is excessive and violates his right to free speech. The case has drawn attention from international legal organizations and human rights groups
