SUBJECT: “Am Competing with His Mother”

I have been married to my husband for 7 good years.

He's a great provider, a good father and a great son to his mother but when it comes to being a good husband he falls short.

When I met him, I thought that if a man treats his mother like a queen, he will be a great husband. But i was wrong, and after all of these years, I think that he loves his mother way more than he loves me. Please Don't get me wrong, I love my mother-in-law so much and we get along really well, but my husband has always put her as number one over me.

When my husband gets off work, he calls her before he calls me. If something happens during the day he calls his mother, He stops by her house 3 or 4 times a week to see her,the list goes on and on.

I thought I was supposed to be his everything. I've expressed my feelings about this to him numerous times and I ended up looking and feeling like I’m just a nagging wife.

He didn't want to plan or do anything special for our wedding anniversary in December but he remembered his mother’s birthday.

I'm only asking to be treated like his queen at least. Is that too much to ask for? The last holiday we spent together just the two of us was back in 2018.

Am I being selfish? Should I compete with my mother in-law?

I just want my space too. Its my time now.

Your advice, Please help.
