The Rotary Club of Lubowa has awarded Counsel Kigozi Kenneth Lubwama the Vocational Service Award in appreciation of his work in advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities.
Joyce Mpalanyi Magala, on behalf of the Dean of Assistant Governors for District 9214, Benjamin Bwanika, commended Kigozi for uplifting the lives of persons with disabilities through various organizations and encouraged other persons with disabilities to learn from his works
The ceremony was held at Grace Restaurant in Lubowa and was attended by his parents, friends, and members of the Rotary Club of Lubowa led by President Peter Ssamula, among others.
Kenneth Lubwama Kigozi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his mother, Magarete Kaggwa, who never abandoned him despite the disability he was born with, but instead cared for him and ensured he received an education that enabled him to become who he is today and to receive this recognition.
He said that his journey in advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities began while he was still in school, and he later decided to pursue this cause as a lifelong mission.
