'MORE PERSPECTIVE FOR THE RAIDER'S CHAD RAY IN THE MORNING'
Radio Abilene’s flagship variety hits, The Raider (KTJK-FM), has completed a week long tease campaign this morning with the on-air announcement of changes to the Raider Mornings with Chad Ray live drivetime show. The station is adding Chad Ray’s fiancée, Lauren, as full co-host of the 6am to 10am weekday daypart.
“Raider Mornings with Chad Ray & Lauren is destined not just to top this region (we have to give Chad credit, his Autostage numbers were already strong), but to attract national attention,” said Radio Abilene General Manager and Program Director, Dustin Tatro. “We’ve known the pair personally, around town, and around the station off-air for some time, and when Lauren – a long-time hospital-based nurse – piped up at this year’s TAB Convention to say, ‘I think doing radio every day could be fun!’ we were a bit shocked but not necessarily surprised. This whole thing has come together in less than a month. You know what they say about how fast destiny can move at times…”
Both Chad Ray and Lauren will place segment concepts on air at launch that will drive listener interaction to new levels, get their audience interacting with each other, and have both sides of the aisle nodding and slapping their steering wheels in agreement. The show promises to have people texting each other just to say, “I told you so!”
