Nature is still my favorite designer.

This Mountain Sage palette was inspired by alpine meadows, evergreen forests, weathered stone, and open mountain skies. The combination feels grounded, calm, timeless, and deeply connected to the natural world.

When I’m looking for color inspiration, I rarely start with trends. I start by paying attention to the colors that already exist around me.

Some of the most balanced brand color palettes are found in nature.

Nature is still my favorite designer.

This Emberlight palette was inspired by campfires at dusk, glowing embers, smoky skies, and the warm contrast between firelight and shadow. The combination feels bold, grounded, adventurous, and unforgettable.

Some of the strongest brand color palettes create contrast. Warm and cool. Light and dark. Energy and calm.

That’s exactly what nature does so well.

ChatGPT is the mediocre ex you swear at. Claude is the one who actually gets you.

I've used ChatGPT for years. I never let it water down my own voice, but lately it's turned into that low end contractor who repeats the same mistake three times in a row, sometimes seconds apart. Eventually it's just easier to do it yourself.

So I switched...

Took some time to actually set Claude up right instead of expecting it to guess. The difference showed up fast: it sounds like me, and it keeps my own knowledge organized instead of making me re-explain myself for the hundredth time. That's the whole point of a tool like this: getting what's already in your head into some kind of order, not handing over the thinking.

Every business has its own path... Just like every trail through the mountains is different, every business has its own way forward. The magic is finding yours.

One entrepreneur goes viral on TikTok. Another quietly builds a thriving business through referrals. Someone else fills every offer from a small email list they’ve nurtured for years.

That advice works for some people. It doesn’t work for everyone.

One of my favorite places to find brand color inspiration isn’t Pinterest.

It’s nature.

This Sage & Stone palette combines muted greens, weathered neutrals, earthy browns, and deep blues pulled directly from the landscape. The result feels grounded, timeless, and effortlessly balanced.
