Ayaan Hirsi Ali knows what it means to escape the pressures of a country that doesn’t provide the freedoms we get to enjoy in the United States of America.

An author, founder, and podcast host, she speaks out against any ideas or policies that would infringe on our human rights. Recently, after years of being a devote atheist, she publicly recognizes her conversion to Christianity.

On July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 landed on the Moon, and Neil Armstrong became the first person to walk on its surface. He spent two hours, 21 minutes and 16 seconds outside of the spacecraft.

Aoproximately 600 million people around the world watched this event on television and heard him say “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

This historic achievement reflected American innovation, determination and the spirit of exploration.

Independence Day! The Birth Of A Nation! 🇺🇸

On July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, announcing that the 13 colonies were FREE and INDEPENDENT states.

The “Great American Experiment” began as the first self-governing democratic republic. At its inception, sovereignty, residing entirely with the people - without a monarchy or ruling class - was a radical, unproven hypothesis in human history. No one had heard of a separation of powers or the rule of law.

After 250 years, it still stands!

And it still inspires!

As we celebrate Independence Day, may we do so with gratitude for the enduring principles we have so richly benefited from and may we strive to stay engaged in keeping our freedoms secure. 🇺🇸
