Why I Just Called Out a "Professional" Agency on Their Own Website
I just saw a local ad from an agency claiming to offer app development and web design. When you click their "Services" link, it doesn't even take you to a real page—it just anchors down to a few lines of generic, low-value marketing text. No real information, no architecture, no depth.
It is the classic footprint of a lazy, AI-driven template that was never touched by a human eye. No Quality Assurance, no real testing.
This is the state of the "digital help" market right now, and it brings up the biggest scam running in the industry today: Don't pay an agency a premium to do something you can easily do yourself for free—which is simply prompting an AI.
If someone is just using an LLM to generate your code, your copy, or your website structure without doing the actual human heavy lifting, they aren't an expert. They are a middleman charging you a massive markup to operate a chat box. If you're going to accept raw, un-audited AI output, you might as well type the prompt yourself and save thousands of dollars.
When you hire a professional, you should be paying for the work they do beyond the tool.
If you are paying a consultant or agency to build your digital presence, you need to ask yourself two things:
Do they actually know how to do this work manually without AI assistance?
Are they putting more human labor into auditing and perfecting that output than you are?
AI is a probabilistic text tool; it builds generic templates. A Systems Architect builds functional, high-performance, secure infrastructure. I don't just generate text—I audit it, stress-test it, and ensure that your software, workflows, and digital platforms actually function under real-world business pressure.
Stop paying a premium for automated, un-checked templates that you could generate yourself in five minutes.
I’m opening up my calendar for a few "Reality Check" audits this week. If you’ve hired an agency and suspect you're just getting marked-up AI boilerplate, or if your current workflows are feeling fragile and broken, let’s look at the actual architecture.
