The Gold Foil Edition is a 16 year-old non-chill filtered bourbon pulled from Camp Nelson F, D, and E rickhouses, which provide a richness of flavor and complexity typically found in vintage whiskies. “It’s probably the best tasting whiskey we’ve ever done,” explains Bruce Russell (), “it’s got notes of the original Wild Turkey ‘funk’ is what we call it, which is this kind of like dark fruit, mature oak that’s got an almost like a rum-like quality that you don’t find in modern whiskies very much, but you used to find in a lot of vintage whiskies, specifically at Wild Turkey.”
