🍪 Today’s Office #2: Rise & Shine Bakery

Spent some time this afternoon donating my time to help Rise & Shine Bakery as they prepare to sell their fabulous cookies online! 📸✨

This incredible bakery isn’t just about delicious treats—it’s about second chances. Rise & Shine provides workforce training and jobs for individuals overcoming employment barriers, including those experiencing homelessness, veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and more. Their mission? To empower people to build meaningful careers and brighter futures.

There’s something magical about downtown Annapolis in the quiet moments after a snowfall. The stillness, the soft glow of the streetlights, and the vibrant warmth of our historic streets remind me why I love this town and the community that calls it home.

When I stumbled upon this packaging, it immediately caught my eye. The vibrant hues and curvy, endless loops mirror how I’ve always approached creativity: fluid, unrestricted, and full of energy.

Design inspiration is everywhere—especially in unexpected places! Sitting in my hair salon, I couldn’t help but admire this beautiful floor design. The rich tones and natural highlights had me thinking… these would make amazing hair colors! Warm caramel streaks paired with bold, darker contrasts? Yes, please!

It’s funny how even a floor can spark creativity and make me look at things differently. It reminds me how I see the world—with a visual eye. Designs like this make me pause, appreciate the details, and imagine how they could translate into something new.
