3️⃣ reasons this is a great post example for small businesses!

1) The 📸 photo is great!
Close up with light editing and makes you think, “whaaat???” as you scroll up to read the caption.
I know I did!

2) Great copy.
Easy to read and professional (no glaring misspelled words or anything) and conversational.
But even better yet, they tell a complete story…the good and the bad - being very transparent AND the punchline at the end makes me want to come in and order!

3) They are riding a trend wave BUT they made it relatable to their business.
Not just throwing a disconnected pink background on their post and hoping the Barbie branding resonates, they really made what sounds like a delicious new sauce that is keeping their social buzzing!

Would you add the Malibu Barbie Dream Drizzle?

Last week, our Malibu Barbie Dream Drizzle sauce went a little viral. People were traveling from as far as 2 hours away just to try it. But we also had customers who felt this sauce was "a culinary abomination created at satan's alter." Yes, that's what a customer actually wrote.

Due to the massive hype around it (good and bad), we sold out immediately. It was meant as just something temporary and fun to do for the Barbie movie’s opening weekend.

Since then, you’ve asked and asked for its return. We’re happy to report, the sauce that created a civil war among our followers is officially back!

Created in a base of fresh dragon fruit, the sweetness balances out the punches of garlic, chili, tangy lemon, savory herbs and (because everything we do is over-the-top) edible glitter. Think of it as a sweet, pink ranch.

Inspired by the controversial TikTok sauce that haunted your nightmares earlier this year, our spin on the sauce is a little different from the original…

- We only use real, fresh dragon fruit, not pink food dye and dragon fruit flavorings.

- The flavor of the sauce packs a punch. It doesn’t taste like sweet watered-down salad dressing.

- Our sauce shimmers like the star it is. The edible glitter adds a little extra star power.

If not for the taste or experience of trying something new, order it because it drives the cooks crazy to say “I need a Malibu Barbie Dream Drizzle on the fly.” They feel their testosterone levels dropping with every order.

So, despite a constant rain, my daughters Girl Scout troop went plalking around Appleton’s Memorial Park for the Fox-Wolf Watershed Cleanup on Saturday morning. 🗑️

Operation was a success! 🚮
Our bag weighed in over 5lbs of cans and wrappers!

Name a place you’ve discovered that was not your original destination!

On our morning walk around Chicago, my family stumbled upon Bennett Park - a beautiful nature scape playground, surrounded by skyscrapers.
🛝🌳🏙️
It was the perfect stop to burn some energy while enjoying the city scenery!

It’s right between Navy Pier and Michigan Avenue and a great place to stop the next time you’re in the city. 👍

⏱️TikToks can be up to 3 minutes

⏱️Instagram Reels can be up to 90 seconds

⏱️ Facebook Reels were recently updated to match 90 seconds (they were only 60 seconds which is crazy since they are both Meta 🙄)

👉 Once you publish a Reel on IG, it will prompt you to share it in other places, including your stories.

So now… it won’t be chopped up into 15 second segments.
⚠️ But beware, if you’re Reel is more than 60 seconds, the end will be cut off!

Grand Canyon National Park is killing it this week!
A great example of humor, relating to your audience and hopping on a trend, yet staying consistent to your brand and messaging. 👍👍

Have you ever been hiking and felt irritable, tired, dehydrated? Are the trails, wildlife, and plants not as pretty as they seemed on the way down into the canyon? Do your friends want to hike 20 ft (6.1 m) in front of you and not by your side? You may be experiencing symptoms of RCF.

Resting Canyon Face is a common condition brought on by poor planning and overexerting yourself in the outdoors. An easy way to catch Resting Canyon Face is to not research where you want to go or what you want to do, not bringing enough snacks or water, not listening to your body, and hiking during the hottest times of the day. These easy to avoid causes are seen by Grand Canyon Rangers all too often on the rim and in the canyon.

How can you avoid catching Resting Canyon Face? To avoid RCF Grand Canyon National Park prescribes:
• Researching what you want to do before coming to the park.
• Talking to rangers before hiking on the rim or trails into the canyon.
• Listening to your body when you get tired, thirsty, or hungry.
• Bringing plenty of water and salty snacks.
• Consider the elevation you live at because the South Rim is above 7,000 ft (2,134 m) and the North Rim is above 8,000 ft (2,438 m).

What to do if you fall victim to RCF?
• Find a shady place and relax.
• Eat some snacks that make you happy and drink water.
• Smell a flower to remind you why you started the hike.
• Avoid injuring yourself further by not sitting on a cactus.
• If in a group, have one of your companions tell a few dad jokes to perk you up.

CAUTION: If RCF is not treated, it can lead to illness and spread to the rest of your group. Happiness levels for the entire group are drastically lowered and there is a risk of not being invited on future hikes.

RCF affects about 45% of all visitors at Grand Canyon National Park. Don’t let Resting Canyon Face bring you down.
