She came to me carrying two years of weight. Two years of uncertainty, self doubt, and not knowing how to get back out there in a way that felt like her.

The job was never out of reach. You just did not know how to make them see it.

When I started in childcare I did not have years of experience behind me. What I had was the ability to walk into a room and present myself like I belonged there. Like I already knew what I was doing. Like I was the obvious choice.

That confidence did not come from nowhere. It came from knowing how to position what I already had. How to talk about it. How to put it on paper in a way that made families stop looking.

Ten years as a childcare provider taught me that experience alone never got anyone the role. Knowing how to show up for it did.
