Client campaign WIN! The 5th Annual Atlanta Women’s Film Festival (AWFF) was a phenomenal success — As a Georgia State University film school graduate, overseeing the PR for AWFF was extraordinary to help amplify female storytellers in cinema,
Thanks to strategic PR efforts, we exceeded our ticket sales goal by 71%, with powerhouse panels a mix of SAG actors, Georgia policymakers, casting directors, executive producers and entertainment leaders and crafted conversations that went beyond the screen and created industry connections.
Curated by Sage PR:
Reel Change: DEI in Film Casting – Chad Darnell, Casting Director. Jordan Blair Brown, Casting Director. Leslie M. Greene, CSA, Casting Director and SAG actor (former Pres of SAG/AFTRA) Eric Goins.
Conversations from the Capitol – featuring GA House Reps Long Tran and Shea Roberts, both members of the Arts & Entertainment Committee also with Andrew Greenberg and Bronwyn Stallcup of the DeKalb Entertainment Commission.
Women on the Call Sheet – Moderated by Georgia Production Partnership (GPP)'s Kimberly Raybon, actor Karen Ceesay, actor, producer, writer Vanessa Claire Stewart, and actor/activist Valyn Hall.

– on closing night, AWFF Trailblazer Award honored three dynamic women transforming the film industry: Karen Ceesay (The Walking Dead, Stranger Things), President of SAG-AFTRA of GA & SC. Vanessa Claire Stewart, producer of Life & Deaths of Wilson Shedd directed by Tim Blake Nelson shot in Columbus, GA. Valyn Hall actor/activist (The Righteous Gemstones). The ceremony was elevated with actor French Stewart in attendance
But, by far the star of the show for me was my daughter, Georgia. Client & CEO of Cinema Life Caroline King invited my daughter to join us on stage to present me with the Women in Media Award. As a publicist, recognition is rare — being recognized in front of our film community, and sharing that moment with my daughter, was profoundly moving and a huge surprise!
I’m grateful to the AWFF team, Cinema Life, the press & influencers that showed and everyone who attended, collaborated, and supported the festival.
