Both of my parents served the armed forces. After moving from Virginia to Florida in 1979, I finished High School, got a degree in Cosmetology, and in 1985 moved to my birth state of Georgia. In the mid 90's I began cleaning new construction homes and eventually started a successful cleaning company, working for investors and real estate firms clearing out and cleaning foreclosures and rentals. In
most cases it required dump truck loads of clearing out items left behind. I began storing the salvageable items and would hold semi annual sales. It did not take long to realize I had found my passion. In early 2000 I purchased a 6000 sq. two story 1902 building and opened my first store, "Heritage Antiques & Estate Liquidation". My store was beautiful, so much that it was a bit too slow paced for me, I loved most working the estate sales. My husband was transferred to another part of Georgia and we eventually liquidated the contents, sold the building and moved. Five years later, I signed a two year lease on a 4000 sq. building and opened another store. This was a bit more fast paced and proved financial success from day one." Bloomingdeals Thrift Store" was my new passion. Unfortunately, my marriage went south and the owner of the building sold it to buyers that wanted it for their own purpose. I am back in Florida, near most of my family again. I purchased a home in Weeki Wachee and I love where my life has brought me. As much as I would love to open another store, it does not allow me to be mobile and I never found anyone that ran my store with the same passion as myself. I am a high energy person and I work best under pressure. I believe, also, it is of less conflict not to have a brick and mortar of similar interest with a side business or service. It is my hope that my story convinces you that I am a very determined person that gets things done. My work ethic is solid. I am very detail oriented and expect to be challenged. With aging parents of my own, you can be assured that I will honor you and yours with the same regard I would expect for my own family. Sincerely,
Joanne Jeffares
