Sassafras Sleigh Team Spotlight: Carly's Heartfelt Giving!

Over the long holiday weekend, Carly embarked on a heartfelt mission that truly warms our hearts. Inspired by the spirit of giving, Carly gathered items to craft care packages for our homeless and in-need neighbors around downtown Kansas City. These caring packages are headed to Uplift, a wonderful local outreach. Packed with essentials and kindness, each bag brings warmth to those in need this holiday season.

Carly shares, "Living downtown, where our neighbors could use some extra support, I've always wanted to contribute, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact. Thank you, Sassafras Sleigh Team, for inspiring me to turn this desire into action!"

Sassafras Sleigh Team Hero: Krista's Heartwarming Mission for MADACC

In the spirit of compassion and furry friendship, we're thrilled to shine a spotlight on Krista and her boys, who have gone above and beyond to spread love to our four-legged friends at the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission, a local animal shelter in Krista’s community.

Krista shared, "We're shopping for food, supplies, and toys for all the animals at MADACC who are patiently waiting for their forever homes. Shelters are bursting at the seams this season, and we wanted to help spread kibble cheer while these furry friends wait for their new families. Adopt, don't shop!"

In the spirit of giving, we're honored to spotlight two remarkable Sassafras Sleigh Team members – Bailey and Allison!

Bailey took the initiative to adopt a family in need through the Salvation Army, embodying the true spirit of giving.

Allison's chosen family is a true example of resilience. With a deployed dad and a mom courageously caring for her son with congenital CMV and younger twins, their journey is both inspiring and challenging. Currently, their son is in the PICU at Children's Mercy battling aspiration pneumonia. The mom expressed her gratitude, highlighting the financial strain of hospital visits and the importance of gas money for frequent trips to Children's Mercy. She shared, "There are so many deserving families, and we are thankful that you thought of ours. Your generosity helps us in more ways than you can imagine.“

Let's come together to celebrate Bailey and Allison for making a real difference for two local families in need this holiday season.

This holiday season, our Sassafras Sleigh Team soared to new heights, and we're bursting with pride to showcase the incredible impact of our amazing team members, Abby and Amanda!

With the Sassafras Sleigh Team project, we empower our employees to be the change they want to see in their community, and Abby and Amanda truly embraced the spirit of giving. They chose to support Toys for Tots, a program that brings smiles to the faces of over 40,000 children in the Kansas City area, spreading joy to kids up to age 17.

Both Abby and Amanda went above and beyond, turning this into a heartwarming family affair! Their enthusiasm and commitment extended beyond the workplace, creating a beautiful ripple effect of generosity that will be felt throughout the community.
