Herstory

Katt started photography in 2011, studied at the University of North Georgia, studying Studio Art with a concentration in Film Photography, and a minor in Philosophy. She was able to shoot alongside day jobs (day jobs including being a photographer for the dolphin experience for Seaworld's Discovery Cove, as well as an internship with Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL...pretty fun, right?) until becoming a full-time Wedding Coordinator in 2017 for a resort in Dahlonega, GA. She has experience not only photographing dozens of weddings, but also coordinating too! This valued experience allows her focus in wedding photography to run smoothly on your wedding day,
no matter the circumstances. She started focusing on photographing weddings in 2017, and that remains a main passion of the company. Katt + Chris fell in love in 2019, and it has been history ever since! Chris joined on as a second shooter in 2020, allowing us to grow our artistic vision even further. Brandi joined us in 2020 as well as our #1 photoshoot coordinator (as well as photog-in-training!)

Here in 2021, we are two photographers, madly in love. That gives us a different perspective and excitement to share YOUR love story to the world. We shoot with a documentary-style mindset, providing a nice unique blend of prompted and candid photos from each session. Our aim is to make the session fun and breezy, while providing beautiful photos that capture you and your own personal style to share.

Another one down! 🔥

The amazing and talented Katt Beach worked with SHOCK Electric to wrap their conference table in a slick matte black vinyl topped with their signature font in SHOCK yellow! We love how they integrated the power bar into the table! So cool!

We also helped turn their famous "7 step system" into something tangible! With the amazing vision of Maze Mason, we assembled this design for them on their massive dry erase board, so cool!

It's Time to jingle all the way to Beachwood Photography for our annual Christmas Mini shoot! Tis' the season to get high quality Christmas family or couples photos for a fraction of the cost of a usual photoshoot; Normally a $200 minimum, you can get a family session for as little as $50!

We have Christmas music, Hot cocoa, Christmas Cookies, a Snow Machine, professional studio lighting, and an expertly crafted "Christmas Wonderland" Scene.

We're now taking appointments on the following dates:
December 9th-11th, 16th-18th, and 21st-23rd
sessions are available in 15 minute slots from 12pm to 7pm

Our Story

Hi there! My name is Katt Thompson, and I am a 26-year-old elopement and wedding photographer, and content creator, based out of Dawsonville, Georgia and regularly service the entire North Georgia area. I work exclusively with my partner, Christopher Beach, who is based out of Cu***ng, GA. Our services are available worldwide, as we have a huge passion to travel and capture love around the world with my camera. Our style of photography is widely a candid approach, to accomplish all of those tiny moments between you and your partner. We aim to provide more than just “pretty pictures” - we love natural beauty and can't wait to see your personal style and share it with the world.

I, Katt, studied studio art with a focus in painting and film photography with East Georgia State College and the University of North Georgia. I have also spent time as a photography for SeaWorld’s Discovery Cove park, working with the dolphins as a photographer. I have been doing photography professionally since 2011, and have been focusing on weddings and elopements since 2015. I am a featured vendor on Forrest Hills Resort’s wedding vendors list and service their resort frequently.
